In the Media

Our first feature was in the British newspaper, the Sunday Telegraph, in 2013 on the day Andy Murray won Wimbledon. I was new to e-commerce and I remember the day well, as my website crashed, or in tennis terms, smashed!

Andy was the first British player since Viginia Wade won Wimbledon in 1977, so it was a remarkable achievement and great publicity for our fledgling brand. We have since been featured in multiple baby magazines and business press, such as Entrepreneur and Inc!.

We have featured in local and regional press, but our highest press coverage (pun intended) was a feature in British Airways in-flight magazine. I am a guest writer for The Dad Network. However, in 2018, our baby tennis racket was featured in an ad for Chase Manhattan bank, featuring the amazing Serena Williams and her baby, Olympia.

We are a unique baby sports toy brand – looking to work with bloggers, vloggers, joggers and (if you play baseball) sloggers. We want to work with journalists as we always have a story to tell and an opinion, particularly if it is about #genderequality #nurturing #entrepreneurs #parenting.

Our journey has been full of highs and lows, but like a game of sport, we have had to show real grit and persistence to achieve what we have. We hope that it is a story that is worth telling to your children. We’ve had such great media coverage over the last year I would really like to recommend this awesome press release template that we used to get it. We kindly ask you to share our story too!

Why we created Little Sport Star

Nick and his wife had an amazing baby shower idea, to start a unique range of sports themed toys. They called the brand Little Sport Star. They wanted other parents to enjoy their favourite sports with their babies. Their baby shower idea caught on. By 2016 Little Sport Star was available in iconic stores such as Toys R Us and in 2018 were delighted when Serena Williams gave the baby tennis racket to her daughter, Olympia.
